The girl emerged from the woods, barely alive. Her story was beyond belief. But it was true. Every dreadful word of it.

Days later, another desperate escapee is found – and a pattern is emerging. Pairs of victims are being abducted, imprisoned then faced with a terrible choice: kill or be killed.

Would you rather lose your life or lose your mind?

Detective Inspector Helen Grace has faced down her own demons on her rise to the top. As she leads the investigation to hunt down this unseen monster, she learns that it may be the survivors – living calling cards – who hold the key to the case.

And unless she succeeds, more innocents will die .

loved the book this book is a thriller/murder mystery sort of book. it had me gripped from the start of the book, every character in books are damaged vulnerable as secrets from there past this makes them more memorable. Helen grace is all these shes not scared of anything but her past comes back to her. We also get to read about the other detectives mark and charlie and the others who were involved.there was some twists to the story and it had me thinking who did it.

i have heard alot about this book but waited so long to read it wish i had read it earlier but so glad to have read it now i gave this a 5 star review

Daily life is like one big, massive chore. I work to pay the bills, I live in a crap little one story house with unstable beams and I have debt collectors on my back. Not cool right? My dad died a few months ago and he left a shit storm in his wake. I’m screwed and I’m alone.

Ghosts of my past haunt me daily. Life goes on by but I’m stuck in my head, stuck in the past. Dad created a sick version of hell and I’m about to live it. Will anyone save me? Am I on my own like I am in reality? I hope someone becomes my knight in shining armour. These men… They’re dangerous and I have no clue how to escape.
Loneliness is a constant feeling in my bones, weariness of runs with the club have me wanting to rip my hair out. I stay calm and collected for my brothers. I’m the Prez and I am not weak. But seeing everyone shacking up with woman, getting Old Ladies, it makes me want it too.

News of an abduction reaches us, the Devil Heads MC are making a move and they’re causing hell wherever they go. Do we jump the gun and take the fuckers down? Or do we sit back and wait for their next move?

the book started straight out with the first killing normally with some crime books they are very slow but craig does not keep you waiting long, all the chapters are short, i loved  that the book was based in glasgow and the book was about the killer and not the police the killer comes across people as normal as you wouldnt expect him to do this sort of thing, hes doing this for a reason and the reason is very heart breaking, this book had me gripped from begining to end it was very hard to put it down cos all i wanted to do was keep going, i gave this book a 5 star thanks craig for a great book cant wait to read the others
